With debris raining down and panic engulfing the columns of refugees, Steel planted himself at their head, deploying energy shields that flared like sunrise in the flame-stained sky.

For twelve harrowing hours, he held every cannon at bay, his reinforced chassis glowing red-hot under the barrage of plasma and shrapnel. When a breach threatened the convoy’s rear, Steel hefted his might in a single, thunderous charge, bulldozing enemy siege walkers into molten ruin to carve a path through enemy lines. By the time the last transport vanished over the ridge, the "Steel Wall" had gone offline: his systems fried and power cores expended. Despite the damage, every single soul he had sought to protect had successfully and safely evacuated.
