If you're experiencing this issue it means that Easy Anti-Cheat is unable to write to a critical file. This can happen when another process has that file locked.
 
To fix this, please follow these steps:

<li> Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS
</li>
<li>Delete EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys
<ul>
<li>If you're unable to delete this file, you might need to restart your computer first. Please try to do it again as soon as your PC has finished booting. </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Open Steam and verify your <a href="https://www.predecessorgame.com/support/12605937694237/13365154681373">game files</a>.  This should reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat and the error should stop appearing at this point.</li>

This error pops up when the Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed, corrupted, or not recognized. 
If you're experiencing that issue, please try the following steps: 
<ul>
<li>Install/Repair Easy Anti-Cheat. To do so, please navigate to the Install Folder and Run InstallAntiCheat.bat
</li>
<li>
Check that Easy Anti-Cheat and Predecessor are installed on the same drive. Easy Anti-Cheat will install to whatever the default installation drive is for Windows, usually C:. If you changed the default save location, the EAC might have been installed elsewhere.</li>
<li>Verify game files. </li>

This error means that some necessary software such as DirectX, GPU drivers, Windows updates, Visual C++ Redistributables cannot be found by the program.  In order to fix this, please try the following steps:
