Become an Internal Tester

With 2024 thoroughly underway and as we look ahead to the milestones we hope to hit over the coming months, we have new opportunities for Predecessor players to join us in testing out new versions of the game ahead of our upcoming Open Beta!
You may have already heard of our Internal Testing team, which is a collection of dedicated Predecessor players who take part in early playtests to provide feedback on upcoming characters and features. We’re looking to grow this team, inviting more of our community to step behind the curtain and help us make Predecessor the very best that we know it can be.
Specifically, we’re looking for up to 1,000 PC players to join us over the coming weeks, playtesting Predecessor on a private development branch and answering some feedback questions on their experience. To be clear, this test will not contain early access to new characters like Emerald or other new features, but instead focuses on the game experience as a whole, as we make stability and optimisation improvements to the entire game.
If you are selected to take part, you will be invited to join our private Discord server where you will get one-on-one interactions with our development team as they conduct and monitor tests, alongside our excellent Internal Testing team moderators who will assist you at every step.
Participants will receive a Steam code granting them access to a unique development branch of the game. There will be organised tests each week, taking part on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays during February and March. These tests will take place across both EU and NA regions.
You will be expected to adhere to strict privacy rules such as not streaming or recording tests, and you may be invited to sign an NDA.
In return, we’re offering everyone who takes part the opportunity to earn two upcoming skins (a common and a rare) on their live Predecessor game accounts. These will be rewarded based on your participation - with a higher account level at the end of the overall testing period netting you more rewards.
