Muriel began as the lone prototype of the “Aegis” defensive unit - an advanced battlefield medic designed to protect, triage, and treat the wounded with surgical precision. However, what was intended to be a crucial debut for the Aresium Planetary Defence Force coincided with two pivotal events that would forever change the unit's trajectory.

The first was an increase in enemy cyber-infiltrations that rendered every AI unit a liability, as hacked drones turned front line lifesavers into potential weapons. The second was a brutal bombardment of a front line hospital, where a decorated field medic was mortally wounded.

Military scientists at Project Lazarus saw an opportunity to solve both problems with one extreme course of action: grafting the dying doctor's consciousness into Muriel’s reinforced android frame. The procedure succeeded, creating an android powered by genuine humanity that was immune to enemy cyber attacks.

Now, Muriel moves through Aresium’s war zones, shielding allies with a clinical calmness. Despite being a peerless integration of bleeding edge military tech and a brilliant and experienced mind, she grapples with memories that she can't quite place: haunted by the hazy echoes of who she once was.
